As sustainability is particularly important to us, we use paraffin-free soy wax and a cotton wick. This has the great advantage that the natural and non-harmful substances result in a longer burning time with a smaller flame. The subtle scent guarantees that you will never tire of it. In addition, once the wax has been completely removed, the cup can of course be reused, e.g. for delicious drinks or as a small flower pot. Answers to our most frequently asked questions about our products
If you want to be on the safe side, you can wash your Motel a Miio ceramic by hand. Do not use strong sponges or cleaning agents for this. Of course you can also wash it in the dishwasher.
You can safely put your dishes in the microwave, but not all items are oven-safe. You can find information about this on our website under the respective article in the care instructions. In principle, we recommend that you do not put everything except our oven dishes in the oven at more than 100 degrees.
Since our ceramics are made by hand, there may be variations in shape and color from batch to batch. These small irregularities make each piece unique.
All of our glazes are food safe and are subject to strict requirements of the European Food Safety Department. This allows us to ensure that all of our glazes are free of harmful substances and metals such as cadmium and lead.
